A7 Labs is seeking a founding designer to shape the future of its AI-powered platform for remote work. You will lead the full design spectrum—from early research and wireframes to polished interfaces—working directly with the CEO and CTO.

We're designing a platform that intelligently connects top professionals with credible opportunities and helps companies find vetted global talent fast, at a fraction of the cost.We've got a solid user base, a clear vision, and the ambition to redefine how remote work actually works. Now we need a founding designer who can make this platform feel as good as it performs.

The role

You’ll be the creative force behind everything users see and touch. Working directly with the CEO and CTO, you’ll own the entire design experience: from early research and wireframes to polished, production ready interfaces.This is not a role where you’ll receive detailed specs and push pixels. You’ll be expected to think strategically about the product, advocate for the user, and make design decisions that shape the company’s direction. As we grow, you’ll help build and lead the design function.

What you’ll do

• Own the end to end design process: user research, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, UI design, and handoff to engineering.
• Create and maintain a scalable design system that ensures consistency and speed across the platform.
• Design intuitive, visually compelling interfaces for both professionals and companies using the platform.
• Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure pixel perfect implementation and smooth interactions.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and uncover new opportunities.
• Contribute to brand identity and visual language across the studio’s products, ensuring each venture has a distinctive and trustworthy presence across all channels.
• Create marketing and communication assets when needed (landing pages, social media visuals, pitch deck design).
• Help define product strategy by translating user insights into feature ideas and product improvements.

Must have

• Product design expertise: 5+ years designing digital products with a strong portfolio showing end to end product thinking, not just visual polish.
• Figma mastery: You live in Figma. You’re proficient with components, auto layout, variables, prototyping, and design systems.
• UI and interaction design: You create interfaces that are both beautiful and functional, with attention to micro interactions, accessibility, and responsive behavior.
• UX research skills: You know how to run user interviews, usability tests, and synthesize findings into actionable design improvements.
• Design systems thinking: Experience building or contributing to design systems that scale across multiple features and screens.
• Collaboration with engineering: You understand frontend development enough to design within technical constraints and communicate effectively with developers.
• Startup mindset: You’re comfortable working autonomously, moving fast, making decisions with incomplete information, and iterating based on feedback.
• Strong visual eye: You have a refined sense of typography, color, spacing, and layout that makes your work stand out.

Bonus

• Branding experience: ability to develop or evolve brand identity, including logo systems, color palettes, typography guidelines, and brand voice.
• Motion design skills (Lottie, After Effects, Rive) for creating engaging animations and transitions.
• Experience with AI powered products or complex platforms (marketplaces, SaaS, two sided platforms).
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS or tools like Framer for building design led pages.
• Previous startup founding or early stage experience.
• Own the entire design experience from day one.
• Meaningful equity as a founding team member.
• Profit sharing agreement from day one.
• Direct influence on product direction and company strategy.
• Shape the visual identity and user experience of a platform built to redefine remote work.
