Our client, an early-stage healthtech startup, is looking for a Founding Product Designer to join their growing team.

As one of the first design hires, you’ll own the end-to-end user experience across our platform, from initial concepts and user research to polished interfaces and product launches. You’ll work directly with the founders, engineering team, and customers to create intuitive, elegant products that solve meaningful problems.

About the Role

Own Product Design End-to-End

• Lead the design process from concept through launch.
• Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high‑fidelity designs.
• Design intuitive user experiences that simplify complex workflows.
• Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure high‑quality implementation.

Partner with Customers

• Conduct user interviews and usability testing.
• Gather customer feedback and translate insights into product improvements.
• Develop a deep understanding of user needs, pain points, and workflows.
• Champion the voice of the customer throughout the product development process.
• Work alongside founders to define product vision and roadmap.
• Help prioritize features and identify opportunities for innovation.
• Contribute to strategic discussions around product direction and growth.
• Use data and customer insights to inform design decisions.

Build the Design Foundation

• Establish design systems, patterns, and standards.
• Create scalable workflows for design and product development.
• Define best practices for user experience and visual design.
• Help build and mentor future design team members as the company grows.

About You

• 5+ years of product design experience, ideally including startup environments.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional UX, visual design, and systems thinking.
• Experience designing complex SaaS, B2B, AI, developer, or workflow‑based products.
• Expertise with Figma and modern design tools.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to balance speed, quality, and business priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as an early or founding designer at a startup.
• Experience designing AI‑powered products and workflows.
• Familiarity with product analytics and experimentation.
• Ability to conduct user research independently.
• Basic understanding of front‑end technologies and implementation constraints.
