Avallon is hiring a senior designer to own every surface a customer touches within its claims platform. You will shape the design language, research practice, and standards that guide future hires, while collaborating closely with engineers and product.

The role requires deep experience in dense, technical software and a willingness to work on-site in New York City. You’ll drive usability and measurable improvements for users handling complex claims workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing software with end-to-end ownership.
• Portfolio shows dense, technical software used by operators for long hours.
• Based in NYC and able to work in person.

Responsabilités

• Own every surface a customer touches, from the claims workspace to reports.
• Turn the agent platform into a system people work in with density and explicit state.
• Design the interaction model for agents doing real work and explain decisions.
• Ship workflows from discovery through delivery with usability in mind.
• Find and measure friction using UX instrumentation and user research.
• Set the bar by building a scalable design system and governance.
