Job summary

Decagon in New York is hiring our founding Platform Engineer, Security to design, build, and operate the security infrastructure powering its AI platform. This builder role creates durable systems, secure service templates, and policy-as-code.

You’ll drive automation, observability, and self-service so engineers can ship securely. You’ll work closely with Security, Infrastructure, and product teams, applying SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR controls to protect customer data while enabling scalable AI

Qualifications

• 8+ years building and operating production infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and/or AWS.
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code and automation.
• Strong coding ability in at least one systems language.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, multi-tenant infrastructure.
• Build golden paths, templates, and policy-as-code.
• Own Terraform and GitOps practices with reusable modules.
• Expand platforms for alerting, secrets management, IAM, and remediation.
• Translate enterprise and compliance requirements into automated controls.
• Participate in security on-call and improve operability.
