Job summary

Wintermeyer Ventures is seeking its first dedicated platform engineer to own the infrastructure and data platform. You will build reliable, high-performance systems that support real-time data processing and product growth.

With 4–10 years of backend/platform experience, you will shape the roadmap for performance, reliability, and scale, collaborating closely with product engineers and leadership to deliver scalable solutions for large consumer businesses.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in backend/platform engineering or related field.
• Proven track record building scalable data-intensive systems and pipelines.
• Experience with real-time data processing stacks and distributed architectures.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate the data platform and infrastructure.
• Set roadmap for performance, reliability, and scale.
• Collaborate with product engineers and leadership to build scalable systems for large users.
• Develop services and pipelines for high job volumes, evaluating Kafka and other technologies.
• Build data materialization and query capabilities for fast joins/aggregations.
