Job summary

Probook in New York, NY is building an AI operating system for home services. You will own the developer and infrastructure layers that power real-time decision systems, from durable execution to workflow orchestration and scalable services used by our customers.

This role emphasizes shipping from scratch, owning end-to-end reliability, and collaborating with product engineers and customers to scale the platform. You’ll tackle cost, observability, and performance as the product footprint grows.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of engineering experience with ownership of infrastructure.
• Zero-to-one experience building infrastructure from scratch.
• Strong infrastructure fundamentals across distributed systems, cloud, networking, CI/CD.
• Real software engineering: writing code and owning systems end-to-end.
• Breadth over depth: prefer building new systems to operating mature ones.
• Judgment: know when to architect and when to finish this week.

Responsibilities

• Own the infrastructure behind real-time decision systems and durable execution.
• Build sandboxes, evaluation infrastructure, and agent compute environments.
• Develop the developer platform: CI/CD, deployment, local development tools.
• Improve reliability, observability, and incident debugging tooling.
• Manage cloud costs and scale as the product footprint grows.
• Collaborate with product engineers and customers to iterate on solutions.
