Job summary

Kindling Academy in the Bee Cave area of Texas is hiring a Founding Lead Teacher/Guide to shape a small, mixed-age classroom for ages 4–8. You’ll lead a cohort of up to 14 children with support from a classroom assistant, blending individualized learning, project-based work, creativity, and extensive outdoor time.

The ideal candidate brings at least three years of teaching experience, warm judgment, initiative, and strong emotional intelligence.

Qualifications

• Lead a mixed-age cohort of up to 14 children aged 4–8 with a classroom assistant.
• Montessori-inspired model emphasizing individualized learning, project work, creativity and outdoor time.
• At least three years of teaching experience; Montessori training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily lessons and activities for ages 4–8 with small-group and individualized work.
• Supervise and collaborate with the classroom assistant to support learners.
• Foster a learner-centered, creative learning environment with ample outdoor time.
