Job summary

Apogee North Texas in Flower Mound, TX is seeking a Lead Guide for our Elementary program. The classroom serves ages 4–7 with up to 18 students, supported by an assistant guide.

The program is a hybrid home-school model, campus days on Tue–Thu, with at-home learning on Mon and Fri. The candidate should have Montessori certification (strongly preferred) or 3–4 years of Montessori classroom experience in a project-based setting, plus a willingness to adapt to mixed-age grouping and portfolio

Position Title:Lead Guide for our Elementary

Job Description:Apogee North Texas is hiring a lead Montessori teacher for a classroom of up to 18 students (with an assistant guide), ages 4 to 7, beginning August 2026.
We’re a hybrid home-school in Flower Mound. Students attend campus Tuesday through Thursday and learn at home with their families on Mondays and Fridays. Campus mornings are dedicated to core academics in reading, writing, and math. Afternoons are built around hands‑on projects, life skills, and physical activity.
We teach in mixed‑age groups rather than grade levels. Students advance by demonstrating mastery, and progress is documented in portfolios and presented at public showcases. Our mission is grounded in faith, family, and country, and academic rigor and personal responsibility sit at the center of the school day.
The classroom comes stocked with Montessori works and supplies. Teachers are welcome to bring their own materials, though it isn’t required.

Requirements:

• Montessori certification (strongly preferred)
• 3 to 4 years of Montessori classroom experience accepted in lieu of certification
• Prior experience in a Montessori or project-based classroom (required)
• First aid and CPR certification (preferred but not required)

The right candidate holds high academic expectations for young children, gives students real responsibility for their own work, and is comfortable letting a child work through difficulty before stepping in.
