Job summary

The Montessori School on Camp Bowie in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Lead Montessori Primary Guide for ages 3-6 in a full-time role. You will design a developmentally appropriate classroom, lead a multi-age group, mentor an assistant, and build strong partnerships with families.

Required credentials include a recognized AMI/AMS/MACTE program, at least two years of lead Montessori experience, and compliance with Texas HHS licensing.

Qualifications

• AMI/AMS/MACTE credential is required.
• At least 2 years of Montessori Primary classroom lead experience.
• Must meet Texas HHS licensing requirements, including background checks.
• Strong communication with families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an orderly, inviting Primary environment aligned with Montessori principles.
• Present lessons in Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math, Cultural Studies, and Grace & Courtesy.
• Guide individual and small-group lessons based on daily observations.
• Protect the uninterrupted morning work cycle.
• Keep accurate daily records of lessons and development.
• Establish clear classroom expectations with respectful limits.
• Mentor and collaborate with the Assistant Teacher.
• Partner with families through daily communication and conferences.
