Guidepost Montessori in Mill Valley, CA seeks a Lead Guide to lead mixed-age classrooms for infants, Toddlers, or Preschool in a Montessori setting designed to nurture concentration, independence, and joyful learning.

You’ll observe, tailor lessons, and support each child’s academic, social, and emotional growth while building strong relationships with families and collaborating with parents.

Qualifications

• Montessori diploma for ages 0–6 or willingness to obtain certification (fully sponsored)
• Experience working with children ages 0–6 in a group learning environment
• Alignment with child-led philosophies (Montessori or Reggio Emilia)
• ECE or Child Development credits required
• Bachelor’s degree in ECE or Child Development

Responsibilities

• Observe each child closely to support development
• Prepare an orderly classroom fostering concentration and independence
• Encourage self-confidence by supporting children learning to do it themselves
• Provide individualized and small-group lessons in practical life, literacy, math, and beyond
• Build strong relationships with children and families
• Communicate with parents to support each child’s growth
• Lead the classroom with warmth, professionalism, and purpose
