Job summary

Nabihealth in San Francisco is seeking an in-person, full-time engineer to help build an AI-native health system. You will integrate our Command Center with the Callie intersession product to enable clinician collaboration and continuous care.

You will design and own backend services, APIs, and data pipelines that power clinical workflows and agent infrastructure, while improving onboarding tools and scaling infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Build Agentic Care: integrate our Command Center (EHR) product with our intersession product Callie to allow clinicians to collaborate with agents in delivering continuous care.

• Design and own backend services, APIs, and data pipelines that power clinical workflows and agent infrastructure.

• Develop new patient onboarding tools to streamline intake and setup.

• Build and maintain infrastructure (deployment, monitoring, observability) as we scale.

• Collaborate closely with clinical and operational stakeholders to ship fast, reliable systems that help patients recover faster.

• Strong product instincts - you think end-to-end, from data model to user experience, and you ship systems that are reliable, performant, and great to use.

• Scrappy and fast-moving - you get things done quickly without sacrificing quality, and you're comfortable building in ambiguity with little instruction.

• Fast learner - you ramp up quickly on new tools, systems, and domains. You stay abreast of the latest technology and its developments.

• Deep empathy & mission alignment - you care about building for real people, especially patients and the clinicians who serve them.

• Clear communicator - you are a team player who is able to distill complex problems and communicate them concisely.

Strong candidates may also have

• Experience with Node.js, Elixir, and the TypeScript/React ecosystem.

• Familiarity with AI/ML integration patterns - working with LLM APIs, building agent architectures, or prompt engineering.

• Experience in healthcare, fintech, or other regulated/high-stakes domains.
