Squad Health is building at the forefront of AI and drug innovation tackling large-scale operational challenges with technology, speed, and customer obsession. We move quickly, operate with high ownership, and work closely with customers to solve real-world problems at scale. As we continue to expand, we are looking for exceptional operators in New York who are excited to build, scale, and shape the future of AI-enabled healthcare operations.
Joining Squad Health means working on meaningful problems, collaborating with ambitious teams, and having the opportunity to create measurable impact in a rapidly evolving industry.
About the Role:
We are hiring a Founding Marketing Lead to build Squad Health’s marketing function from the ground up. This is a hands‑on role covering positioning, content, customer proof, conferences, and go‑to‑market enablement.
You will determine how Squad Health presents itself, which content is worth creating, where we should show up, and how marketing can make our Growth and Partnerships teams more effective. You will work directly with company leadership and partner closely with Product and Operations.
There is no established marketing playbook to inherit. You will have the opportunity to build it.
What You’ll Own
- Positioning and messaging: Build a clear messaging framework for specialty practices, larger provider organizations, and pharmaceutical partners. Translate complex healthcare workflows into language that is simple, credible, and differentiated.
- Content and thought leadership: Set editorial priorities and produce customer stories, case studies, executive content, product explainers, industry perspectives, webinars, and other materials that build trust and earn attention.
- Conferences and field marketing: Determine which conferences and specialty meetings warrant investment. Own sponsorship and speaking strategy, executive meetings, pre‑event targeting, collateral, on‑site execution, follow‑up, and ROI analysis.
- Customer proof and GTM enablement: Turn customer outcomes and market insights into decks, one‑pagers, case studies, ROI narratives, specialty‑specific messaging, and other materials that strengthen commercial conversations.
- Launches and market moments: Develop and execute marketing plans for important product releases, customer wins, partnerships, new specialties, and company milestones.
- Targeted GTM programs: Partner with Growth and Partnerships on focused campaigns, roundtables, webinars, account‑based programs, and partner co‑marketing tied to commercial priorities.
- Marketing operations: Build the calendar, briefing process, measurement approach, budget framework, and network of freelancers and agencies needed for a lean team to execute effectively.
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of experience across B2B marketing, product marketing, industry marketing, content, field marketing, or go‑to‑market roles in an early‑stage or high‑growth environment.
- Experience as a first or early marketing hire, or ownership of a broad marketing remit without the support of a large team.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, including the ability to explain technical or healthcare topics clearly without making them sound generic.
- Experience developing positioning, customer proof, and sales materials that founders and commercial teams use in real customer conversations.
- Experience planning and executing conferences or field programs from strategy through follow‑up and performance measurement.
- Strong commercial judgment and an understanding of how marketing contributes to qualified engagement, pipeline, sales effectiveness, and event ROI.
- Comfort working directly with senior leaders, managing external creative partners when useful, and using AI tools thoughtfully to improve the speed and quality of your work.
- Based in New York or willing and able to work on‑site in New York City.
