Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a founding Identity and Access Management Leader to build and mature IAM capabilities, reporting to Enterprise Operations and Architecture.

This role will shape identity as a central control point within a Zero Trust strategy and lead the selection and implementation of a modern IAM platform while hands-on implementing critical controls. You will collaborate across Security, Network, Cloud, and HR functions, define access governance, and build a capable IAM team to

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of IAM experience.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Cybersecurity or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience designing Zero Trust identity controls, MFA, PAM, and risk-based access policies.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python).

Responsibilities

• Develop a roadmap to mature the IAM program and target architecture.
• Lead requirements gathering, vendor evaluations, and selection for the IAM platform.
• Define Zero Trust architecture emphasizing least privilege and conditional access.
• Collaborate with Security, Network, Cloud, and EA teams to align identity and access controls.
• Establish RBAC, access certification, and privileged access management practices.
• Build and lead AMETEK's Identity and Access Management team, including hiring and development.
• Support IAM aspects of mergers and acquisitions integrations.
