Job summary

Cogent Security is building a world-class marketing team and seeks a founding content leader to shape the editorial voice across executive leadership, product insights, and customer outcomes. You will own the content engine, set standards, orchestrate output, and still write the pieces that matter yourself.

A separate Director handles press and analyst relations, while you ensure material is compelling and ready for the market.

Qualifications

8-10+ years in content roles in B2B tech, with cybersecurity preferred.
Proven track record of content that moves pipeline, traffic, and engagement.
Experience shipping weekly content at a small team with limited budgets.
Excellent writing and editorial judgment; ability to articulate a credible security POV.
Proven ghostwriting for executives with a system to capture voice.

Responsibilities

Own Cogent's content engine end-to-end: calendar, series, and formats across social, blog, video, and long-form.
Tie content to pipeline and track performance to amplify what works.
Ghostwrite for executives and build repeatable systems to capture raw material (interviews, notes, briefs).
Turn raw material into thought leadership that practitioners read and share.
