Job summary

Blackhawk Talent is seeking a Founding Marketer to become the first dedicated marketing hire at a fast-growing B2B technology company. This is a zero-to-one opportunity to build a scalable marketing engine from the ground up.

You'll own messaging, content, and a growth strategy across organic, paid, and events, collaborating with founders and the commercial team to turn a sophisticated product into a clear business story for enterprise buyers.

Qualifications

• Experience as founding, early or highly autonomous marketer responsible for multiple growth channels.
• Experience helping build or scale a B2B SaaS growth function from 0→1.
• A portfolio of work you personally created—not simply managed—including writing samples, campaigns, case studies, newsletters, web content or social content.
• Hands-on experience running LinkedIn, Google and/or Meta advertising.
• Strong writing and storytelling skills.
• The ability to understand technical products quickly and communicate why they matter to customers.
• Strong second-order thinking: move beyond describing a feature to understanding downstream value.
• Experience working alongside founders, sales teams and product/technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop the company's messaging and positioning for non-technical decision-makers.
• Create content yourself, including customer stories, case studies, articles, newsletters, website copy, social content and sales materials.
• Build an integrated growth strategy across organic, paid and field marketing channels.
• Launch and optimize campaigns across LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads and Meta.
• Establish the marketing presence at industry conferences and events.
• Partner with sales to create pitch materials, proof points and competitive messaging.
• Develop campaigns for complex B2B buying processes and high-value customers.
• Experiment with AI and emerging marketing tools to increase output.
• Establish initial marketing metrics, reporting and cadence.
