Job summary

Orbis Group is building an AI-powered platform and is hiring a key engineer to join a brand-new Forward Deployed Engineering function. You will work closely with enterprise customers, own their technical outcomes, and help define how the FDE team operates as it grows.

You’ll be hands-on, making architectural decisions while delivering customer solutions, spanning APIs, integrations, and backend systems. Previous work with financial services infra is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Experience working directly with external customers or stakeholders in a technical capacity.
• Ability to discuss architecture with leadership and still ship code.
• Experience in identity, fraud, KYC/KYB or financial services infrastructure is useful.

Responsibilities

• Shape the Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) team from the start.
• Work directly with enterprise customers to own their technical outcomes.
• Make architectural decisions and stay hands-on to deliver the solution.
• Build APIs, integrations, SDKs and production code with an eye toward reusable platform capabilities.
