Job summary

Ember AI is seeking a Founding Engineer to build an ambitious Enterprise Intelligence platform from the ground up. You’ll work directly with Deborah Liu and a seasoned Silicon Valley founding team to shape architecture and product through early customer discovery and rapid iteration.

You will own backend and platform development, ship AI-powered features, and engage with enterprise customers to solve real workflows.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Founder/early startup experience desirable.
• Backend and full‑stack development, including production AI features.
• Familiarity with LLM APIs, RAG, agent orchestration, or evaluations.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-moving environment.
• Interest in AI‑native development and tools like Claude Code.

Responsibilities

• Build the core agent platform including triggers, memory, approvals, evaluations, observability and workflow execution.
• Take products from customer discovery and technical design through to launch and iteration.
• Work across the stack, with a strong emphasis on backend and platform development.
• Speak directly with enterprise customers to understand workflows and solve real problems.
• Help shape Ember’s architecture, roadmap, engineering practices and culture from day one.
