Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a Founding Engineer, AI Platform - this is a hybrid position in San Francisco. Salary range: 180-250K plus benefits plus equity.

We are building Enterprise Intelligence: an AI-native workspace that turns a company's meetings, email, documents, Slack, and operational systems into durable memory, proactive agents, and customer-specific workflows.

We are looking for a Founding Engineer with 3--7 years of experience to join our founding team and help build their Enterprise Intelligence platform from the ground up. You are an entrepreneurial, product-minded full-stack engineer who has lived the 0-to-1 journey before---whether as a founder, founding engineer, or early technical hire. You thrive in ambiguity, talk directly with customers, and ship production-quality AI-powered products quickly. This is a true 0-to-1 role where you'll work across product, infrastructure, agents, evals, and customer workflows, turning early customer pull into a durable platform.

What will you be doing?

• Lead the core platform development for agents, including triggers, tools, approvals, evals, memory, observability, and workflow execution
• End to end product ownership---from customer discovery and technical design through implementation, launch, and iteration
• Work across the full stack to build core Enterprise Intelligence surfaces
• Shape the product roadmap, technical architecture, engineering practices, and culture of the company

Requirements

• Seniority: 3 - 7 years of experience in full-stack engineering, AI-native
• Work experience: ++0-?to-?1 experience as a founder or founding/early engineer++ at a startup
• ML background: shipped AI-powered product features in production
• Worked on products at an AI lab / open-source environment (Nice-to-have)
• Education: BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree (Nice-to-have)
• Hard skills: ++Full-?stack proficiency++
• Hard skills: ++AI-?native++; experience with LLM APIs, RAG, agent orchestration, or evals (Nice-to-have)
• Soft skills: Immersed in the AI development ecosystem; opinionated/passionate about future of coding with AI
• Soft skills: Comfortable speaking directly with customers for discovery and debugging (Nice-to-have)
