Job summary

true-talent-solutions-partners in Palo Alto is seeking a Founding Engineer to join an early-stage B2B SaaS team building enterprise headcount planning software. You will own from design to production and work closely with founders and early customers.

You’ll design and ship features, talk with customers about data workflows, and shape a product used across HR, finance, and recruiting. A minimum of 2 years full-stack experience with TypeScript, GCP, and MongoDB is expected.

In this founding engineering role, you will work closely with the founders and early customers, taking ownership from technical design through production to help shape a product used across finance, HR, and recruiting workflows. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Design, build, ship, and iterate on product features while balancing speed with quality. - Work with the founders to turn customer problems into practical technical solutions. - Own substantial parts of the product, from system design and implementation to production support. - Talk directly with customers to investigate issues and understand how they work with data. - Contribute across engineering, product, and customer support in a small, early-stage team. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - At least 2 years of full-stack software engineering experience across frontend and backend development. - Proficiency in TypeScript and the ability to quickly learn new stacks; experience with GCP and MongoDB is relevant. - Experience designing low-latency systems and working with transport or streaming technologies. - Strong systems design and data modeling skills, along with solid computer science fundamentals; a degree in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred. - Experience at a venture-backed startup, as a founder or founding engineer, or owning zero-to-one projects in another setting. - Product and user empathy, initiative, and experience collaborating with customers or cross-functional teams to shape a product. - B2B software experience is valuable, particularly in HR or finance, as is experience working on small teams and across different responsibilities. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Base salary: $150,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available. LOCATION On-site in Palo Alto, California, United States.
