Pantheon is seeking the first engineer in a product early life, shaping the discipline and building a materials library for clients. You will write guides, develop reference implementations and AI-enabled tooling, and collaborate directly with client developers to deliver scalable templates and integrations.

The role blends writing and coding, with early emphasis on documentation and guides, expanding to reusable patterns and a potential influence on platform features.

Qualifications

• Strong full-stack engineering skills with real depth in the modern JavaScript ecosystem — Next.js and React specifically.
• Experience integrating third-party systems: REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks, OAuth/SAML authentication flows.
• Writing ability that matches your engineering ability; early, much output is written material.
• Comfort building with AI tooling as a first-class part of the workflow, including agentic coding tools and reusable AI skills.

Responsibilities

• Scope enablement needs per implementation with sales engineer and client, turning into a concrete build list.
• Write documentation and guides that are clear, tested, step-by-step for developers to follow to a working result.
• Build reference implementations and example widgets with real integrations.
• Build connectors and adapters; create flexible patterns with worked examples for long-tail vendors.
• Build scripts and AI skills to automate or accelerate repetitive parts of implementation work.
• Generalize one-off solutions into reusable kits for future clients.
• Feed product with evidence-backed recommendations for features.
