Job summary

Kratos Industries, LLC seeks a founding Director of Field Service to build the function from the ground up. You will create processes, tools, and a team to transform field service into a revenue-generating product line.

The role requires deep experience in electrical equipment or power distribution, switchgear and protective relays, and a proven ability to scale field service organizations. This is an on-site, Colorado-based leadership position with 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in field service with medium- or high-voltage gear.
• 5+ years of people leadership in field service/technical ops.
• Experience scaling field service orgs and processes.
• Experience managing third-party contractor relationships.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% including short-notice trips.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable intake and execution process for post-shipment customer services.
• Establish SLAs and reporting for response, dispatch, parts, and completion; track against targets.
• Own full service delivery workflow from initial contact to closeout.
• Partner with Eng/QA to ensure access to procedures, specs and safety protocols.
• Define warranty policy, budget, and reporting; build a case management system.
• Hire, onboard, and develop field service org; define roles and career paths.
• Develop contractor network; establish MSAs, rate cards, and SLAs.
• Create revenue-generating field service offerings and align with sales.
