Job summary

Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s College of Osteopathic Medicine seeks an innovative osteopathic physician educator to serve as Founding Chair of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine and Osteopathic Principles and Practice (OMM/OPP). This open-rank, tenure-track appointment includes department leadership and administrative responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree (DO or MD); DO degree preferred.
• Three years academic experience as a faculty member at an accredited US osteopathic medical school with proven experience in developing curricula for OMM/OPP/NMM, specialty medicine, or primary care.
• Current active and unrestricted medical licensure and board certification; record free of past disciplinary actions against the medical license.

Responsibilities

• Develop curriculum and course objectives for OMM/OPP within the COM curriculum.
• Coordinate integration of OMM/OPP into Years 1-4 coursework and clerkships.
• Teach in face-to-face classroom and clinical skills settings; contribute to student assessments.
• Engage in research and scholarly activity related to osteopathic medicine principles.
• Advise and mentor students; collaborate with other COM Chairs on curriculum integration.
