Job summary

The Chicago School in Chicago, IL seeks a dynamic physician educator to be founding faculty in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. Qualifications

  • DO or MD with board certification in related specialty.
  • At least 1 year of experience in medical education, residency training, or faculty leadership.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching, curriculum development, and student mentorship.
  • Strong supervisory, interpersonal communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Motivation to contribute to growth of the OMM department and collaboration with IllinoisCOM and University.
  • Commitment to collaborative, interprofessional education and integration of osteopathic principles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and supervision for osteopathic medical students within the IllinoisCOM.
  • Participate as course director or co-course director for pre-clinical PCOP courses.
  • Contribute to development and delivery of PCOP curriculum.
  • Teach medical students using evidence-based methods, including case-based learning and OMM lab supervision.
  • Develop and lead PCOP lectures and lab sessions.
  • Assess and evaluate pre-clinical students; mentor and support student development.
  • Collaborate with faculty to integrate PCOP content across the curriculum.
  • Represent the College in professional organizations and events.
  • Assist with student recruitment and community outreach.
  • Participate in College and University committees.
  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion in medical education.
  • Engage in clinical practice (strongly encouraged).
  • Promote and support research and scholarly activity.
