Job summary

Acrivault is seeking its Founding Backend Engineer to translate the architect's specifications into production Go/Python code for a multi-tenant SaaS security platform. You will build core control plane services and the Discovery pillar, shaping the Identity Firewall hot path in collaboration with the Lead Security Architect.

The role starts as a four-month contract with conversion to full-time at the end of Month 4, contingent on performance. Remote within US time zones.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production backend engineering experience in Go (primary) and Python (secondary).
• Production experience building multi-tenant SaaS at scale with tenant isolation and per-tenant data residency.
• Experience delivering sub-50 ms p99 services; knowledge of profiling, GC tuning, and fast/slow paths.
• Experience with PostgreSQL 15+, Redis, Kafka or alternative event buses, OpenAPI 3.0-first development, and AWS SDKs.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the platform's control plane services (gateway, auth, tenant, billing, notifications).
• Develop the Discovery pillar components (scan orchestrator, workers, identity graph service).
• Implement the Identity Firewall hot path portions (PDP, PIP cache, injection detection).
• Create and ship language SDKs (Go, Python) and accompanying Envoy filter and gRPC sidecar.
• Integrate with data stores (PostgreSQL, Neo4j, ClickHouse, Redis) and the vector store.
