RediRecruit, LLC is seeking a Founding Backend Engineer to join as a core builder for an AI‑driven tax automation platform. This remote role can be done from anywhere in the United States and offers ownership as the company scales from 0 to 1.

You’ll develop scalable backend systems, integrate LLM workflows and AI agents, and collaborate directly with the CTO and Head of Engineering to ship production‑grade software. Candidates should have 2–6 years of experience and a strong CS background.

Qualifications

• 2–7 years of professional software engineering experience in the United States.
• Experience building production backends with Python and TypeScript.
• Experience deploying LLM-powered apps or AI agents in production.
• End-to-end ownership from design to deployment.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS or related field from a top U.S. university.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the backend infrastructure powering an AI‑driven tax automation platform.
• Develop production-grade LLM workflows and AI agents.
• Own backend architecture and implementation decisions.
• Build features from concept to production deployment.
• Collaborate with the CTO, Head of Engineering, and product stakeholders.
• Translate customer feedback into scalable product functionality.
• Contribute to the platform’s next major product release scheduled for next year.
• Expand the platform into additional AI‑powered workflows including auditing.
• Contribute to frontend development when required while maintaining backend focus.
