Job summary

SIVAD Consulting is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute remotely on a small, fully remote team building Taylor, an agentic AI tax assistant. You will own features end to end from backend data models to UI using TypeScript, Node.js and React, delivering practical, auditable fintech software.

You should have 5+ years of full-time software engineering experience, with fintech/billing platform exposure, and a track record at an early-stage startup or startup-like team.

Qualifications

• Shipped and operated production full-stack features end-to-end, from backend data model through UI.
• Production TypeScript (Node.js backend and React or Next.js frontend).
• 5+ years of experience as a full-time software engineer after school.
• At least one role at an early-stage startup or startup-like team inside a larger company.
• Built payments, billing, ledger, or risk systems at a fintech (Stripe, Ramp, or similar).
• 10+ years building backend and full-stack systems at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own features end to end; design, build, and run full-stack features in TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
• Shape the backend; define services, data pipelines, and event flows as the product grows.
• Integrate AI into the product with the AI team to deliver reliable user experiences.
• Build for a regulated domain with auditability and access controls.

Senior Software Engineer – Remote (Ded)

Our client is building Taylor, an agentic AI tax accountant that people reach by call, text, chat, or email, with staff CPAs reviewing every high-impact decision. You'll own product features end to end on a small, remote engineering team, from backend data architecture to the screens users see, and turn the AI workflows the AI team builds into a product people trust with their taxes. You'll feel at home here if you'd rather ship and learn than wait for a perfect spec.

Responsibilities

• Own features end to end. Design, build, and run full-stack features in TypeScript, Node.js, and React, from data model to UI.
• Shape the backend. Help define services, data pipelines, and event flows as the product and customer base grow.
• Integrate AI into the product. Work with the AI engineers to put agent workflows into reliable, polished user experiences.
• Build for a regulated domain. Handle sensitive financial data with auditability and access controls designed from the start.
• Build AI-native. Use AI coding tools daily and help set how the team builds with them.
