Job summary

ValCera is a self-funded startup with under ten people, building a mobile trading product for professional, high-volume Digital Asset traders. This role owns every non-money-movement backend area and takes it from zero to one, shaping the core architecture for launch.

You will replace external feeds with a single reliable backend, implement in-house Solana and EVM indexing, and design scalable WebSocket streaming and data serving on Postgres and cloud.

Qualifications

• Built and owned a backend platform in production for brokerage, wallet or trading app.
• Shipped production services in Rust or Go.
• Built or ran an on-chain indexer (Solana or EVM) in production.
• Ran WebSocket fanout at scale through traffic spikes.
• Served live data to a consumer-scale user base on Postgres and cloud providers.

Responsibilities

• Build backend over third-party market data and chain providers with failover.
• Design and ship in-house Solana and EVM indexing after launch.
• Build the WebSocket fanout that streams live prices and positions to all users.
• Design data serving and caching on Postgres and AWS or GCP under load.
• Lead platform feature development and architecture with product lead and founder.
