Job summary

Arcade is seeking a Staff+ level software engineer to design and build a scalable crypto trading platform. You will own the data layer, API surface, and reliability while integrating the trading engine for perpetuals and spot trading.

You’ll unify providers into one source of truth and ensure ultra-low latency data delivery at scale. You are the first engineer in this domain, responsible for turning an original product vision into a robust system capable of handling extreme scale and live

Qualifications

• First engineer in domain; capable of architecting complex systems from zero.
• Experience delivering scalable trading/payment platforms in crypto or fintech environments.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js and backend architecture.

Responsibilities

• Own the platform: data layer, rewards, notifications, the API surface, and its reliability.
• Integrate the trading engine: perps via Hyperliquid, spot via Jupiter and Relay.
• Unify disparate data sources into a single source of truth.
• Ensure low-latency data paths with effective caching and fan-out strategies.
• Maintain system availability under high load, with resilience to spikes.
• Process latency budgeting and proactive bottleneck mitigation.
