Job summary

Acceler8 Talent is partnering with an early-stage semiconductor company to find a Founding Analog / Mixed-Signal IC Engineer. You will own analog/control silicon, drive end-to-end design from spec to tape-out, and validate hardware in the lab.

You will work across device design, packaging, power, RF, and systems to define interfaces and shape the company’s design methodology and IP library. This is a hands-on, end-to-end role with significant influence on future analog organization.

Qualifications

• MS with 5+ years of experience or PhD with 2+ years, or equivalent hands-on IC design.
• Multiple successful analog or mixed-signal tape-outs in CMOS, BiCMOS, SOI, or equivalent processes.
• Ownership of blocks from architecture and schematic design through physical verification and silicon bring-up.
• Strong Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, Monte Carlo analysis, PVT/corner simulation, DRC/LVS, and parasitic extraction experience.
• Hands-on experience in at least two areas: power-management IC design, high-voltage/compound-semiconductor bias-control, phased-array/beamforming control, protection/sequencing/telemetry, or mixed-signal for chiplet/3D systems.
• Familiarity with PCIe, UALink, DDR/LPDDR, UCIe, or related standards.
• Comfortable debugging real hardware in lab.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design analog and mixed-signal circuitry for control, monitoring, and power-management functions.
• Own designs from initial specification through schematic, simulation, layout sign-off, tape-out, and silicon characterization.
• Develop circuits for bias generation, sequencing, protection, telemetry, sensing, and power control.
• Define electrical interfaces between silicon, compound-semiconductor devices, and advanced packaging.
• Characterize returned silicon in the lab and correlate measured performance against simulation.
• Help build the company’s analog design flow and internal IP library.
• Collaborate with circuits, devices, packaging, RF, thermal, power, and systems engineers.
