Job summary

re-zoo-me is seeking a Founding Forward Deployed Engineer to own customer deployments end-to-end in NYC, directly working with client data and translating business requirements into AI-driven solutions.

In this hands-on role, you’ll deploy data pipelines, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to platform development. Strong SQL, Python, and data tooling experience are essential, with a bias toward an AI-native mindset.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years’ experience in FDE, Data Science, Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering or similar technical role.
• Strong SQL and data warehouse experience.
• Solid Python and applied data science fundamentals.
• Experience working with production systems and/or data pipelines.
• Customer-facing experience and the ability to manage technical conversations with stakeholders.
• AI-native mindset, with hands-on experience using AI coding tools and/or building agent-driven workflows.
• Comfortable working with complex, messy data and doing detailed data validation.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end customer deployments, from data access and schema mapping through to proving value.
• Work closely with customers and stakeholders to understand their data and business requirements.
• Build and deploy production data pipelines and systems.
• Work extensively with SQL, data warehouses and dbt.
• Help deploy and customise AI agents and LLM-powered workflows.
• Contribute to the development of the wider platform and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot messy, undocumented data environments and turn them into actionable insights.
