Job summary

Raydar is recruiting for a Founding Engineer to build and refine AI-driven software that automates internal analytical and operational workflows. You’ll own full-stack features from design through production using Python and TypeScript, and partner with non-engineering colleagues to expand capacity.

The role emphasizes creating evaluation frameworks, safety checks, and reliability tooling for AI systems, while shaping engineering culture and architecture in an early, growing team.

Qualifications

• 2 to 8 years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Experience with AI engineering (agents, evaluations, LLM APIs) or strong interest.
• Full-stack or backend background; no frontend-only profiles.
• Experience owning and shipping a full-stack product end-to-end.
• Experience at a leading product company or venture-backed startup at staff or tech-lead scope, or having founded a company.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field from a top-25 university.
• A humble, service-oriented attitude and a collaborative approach with colleagues outside engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build and iterate on AI-driven software that automates internal analytical and operational workflows.
• Take full-stack features from design through production across Python and TypeScript.
• Partner with non-engineering colleagues to build tools that expand their capacity and output.
