Job summary

Cerity Partners is seeking a founding software engineer to join the Innovation Team in a hybrid, multi-city setup (NYC, Austin, Saratoga Springs, LA, SF). You will own end-to-end user journeys, shape platform architecture, and build AI-enabled wealth-management solutions for tens of thousands of clients.

As a key early member, you will influence product strategy, design, and technology choices while partnering with clients, advisors, and colleagues to deliver scalable, high-impact outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years in financial services or related field.
• Experience with AI tooling, models, harnesses, workflows.
• Ability to operate in ambiguity and build 0-to-1 products from first principles.
• Experience with Claude Code, Codex, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end experience and align engineering with product goals.
• Build in partnership with clients, advisors, and colleagues to map workflows and test hypotheses.
• Establish foundational engineering principles and product strategy for the platform, architecture, data, and experiences.
