Job summary

Blacksmith in San Francisco is seeking a Founders Associate to help scale a hypergrowth startup. You will support the founders by owning critical operational workflows, coordinating vendors, handling onboarding, and processing payments, enabling faster decision-making.

We value problem solvers who automate tasks, embrace AI tools, and thrive in ambiguity. This is an in-person role five days a week, with a strong path to broader operational leadership as the company grows.

Qualifications

• Experience owning operational workflows (payments, onboarding, vendor mgmt).
• Strong problem-solving in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
• Proven ability to automate tasks and leverage AI tools.
• Prior exposure to PE/IB/consulting or operations roles.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve core operational processes to keep the company moving.
• Coordinate vendors, onboarding, and payments; unblock founders' priorities.
• Partner with founders to scale operations as the company grows.
