Job summary

Veit & Company, Inc is hiring a Piledriver responsible for the installation of footing piles and earth support systems as directed. The role requires expertise in operating pile driving rigs and performing welding tasks along with physical capability to handle manual work.

Successful applicants will need a high school diploma or equivalent, basic understanding of piling, and welding skills. The position offers a 401(k) and an Employee Assistance Program among other benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic understanding of piling installation/extraction is necessary.
• OSHA 10 and First Aid/CPR certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment for alignment and movement of materials.
• Load and unload building materials as per specifications.
• Drill and set piles using appropriate rigs.
• Weld connections and perform small repairs to equipment.
• Mentor junior crew members and assist other workers.

Skills

Basic understanding of piling installation/extraction

Rigging/signaling qualification

Ability to make small repairs to diesel hammers

Strong communication skills

Good interpersonal skills

Education

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
