Job summary

Michels Construction, Inc. is seeking an Estimator, Foundations to support our heavy civil projects in North America. You will evaluate bid specifications and drawings, solicit quotes, and coordinate with project teams to ensure competitive, accurate bids.

The role requires 6+ years of foundations estimating experience, a bachelor’s degree in construction management, and travel roughly 25% to job sites and pre-bid events; proficiency in HCSS/B2W and MS Office is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or equivalent with 6+ years of foundations construction estimating experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of estimating and scheduling software (HCSS, B2W).
• Must possess a valid driver license and acceptable driving record.
• Position requires around 25% travel for jobsite visits, pre-bid meetings, and pre-construction meetings.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate bid specifications and drawings and attend pre-bid meetings.
• Solicit material and subcontractor quotes and ensure all bid requirements are met.
• Collaborate with Project Management to follow up on bids and budgets.
• Produce accurate, timely estimates and contribute to winning bids.
