Michels Construction, Inc. in Chicago, IL is seeking a Heavy Civil Estimator / Project Manager to lead pre-construction through project completion on heavy civil infrastructure projects.

You will prepare accurate estimates, secure work, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate project execution while building strong client relationships. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in construction management or equivalent, 5+ years of heavy civil estimating experience, proficiency in MS

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, or equivalent degree from a 4‑year college or university.
• 5+ years of related heavy civil construction estimating experience, or equivalent combination.
• Experience with earthwork, underground utilities, roadway, site development, concrete, or other infrastructure projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of estimating and scheduling software (HCSS, B2W).
• Must posses a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record.
• Position requires travel for jobsite visits, pre-bid meetings, and pre‑construction meeting.
