Job summary

inquirED is building Inkwell, a K-5 Core ELA and social studies curriculum. The Director of Foundational Literacy will own the architecture of foundational literacy from 0-to-1, wiring it into Inkwell's broader literacy and knowledge-building work.

You will balance rigorous research with usable, scalable materials and lead cross-functional teams to deliver integrated instruction. The role emphasizes designing coherent progression, assessment, differentiation, and teacher guidance, while ensuring

Qualifications

• Experience designing or shaping a multi-grade foundational literacy curriculum.
• Ability to translate research into concrete curriculum decisions.
• Capability to develop scope, sequence, and lesson architecture across K-5.

Responsibilities

• Own the 0-to-1 design of Inkwell's foundational literacy strand.
• Define lesson architecture, routines, assessment criteria, and quality measures.
• Collaborate with curriculum, editorial, product, and design teams to align the program.
