Job summary

Groundworks in Columbia, SC seeks a Service Technician to blend technical know-how with consultative sales. You will meet homeowners, assess needs, present proven foundation and water management solutions, and earn base pay plus commissions while delivering real value.

The role focuses on inspecting and servicing preexisting installations, offering additional options, and supporting customers post-installation with safety and quality at the forefront.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of proven sales experience preferred but not required.
• Construction/Home Improvement experience preferred.
• Proven customer relations experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Valid, non-restrictive Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Execute appointments scheduled with customers
• Travel to customers' home based on assigned appointments
• Build long-term relationships with customers and professionally represent the company
• Recommend additional products and services to enhance or improve original installation or to remedy a potential issue
• Perform annual customer maintenance visits and assess existing solutions
• Diagnose and fix issues during reactive service visits
• Install additional products purchased by the customer as necessary
• Adhere to safety regulations and procedures
• Communicate job status and document findings to Service Manager and customer
• Maintain punctuality and reliability
