San Luis Valley Health seeks a Foundation Director in Alamosa, CO to lead the growth and impact of the San Luis Valley Health Foundation, directing fundraising, donor relations, and community partnerships to advance healthcare initiatives.

Responsibilities include staff liaison to the Foundation Board, overseeing operations and donor records, and developing giving programs and special events. Bachelor’s degree preferred; nonprofit leadership experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Healthcare Administration, Communications, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, Marketing, or related field.
• Equivalents considered.
• Experience in fundraising, donor relations, nonprofit leadership, or healthcare administration preferred.
• Experience working with boards, volunteers, and community organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead donor stewardship, recognition programs, fundraising campaigns, sponsorships, events, and giving initiatives.
• Develop planned and legacy giving opportunities.
• Serve as staff liaison to the Foundation Board of Directors.
• Oversee day-to-day Foundation operations, donor records, reporting, and compliance.
• Ensure charitable gifts align with donor intent and policies.
• Prepare reports and dashboards for the Board and leadership.
• Identify opportunities where philanthropy supports patient care and community programs.
• Develop relationships with community leaders and philanthropic partners.
• Represent the Foundation and SLV Health at public events.
