Job summary

New York Life Foundation is seeking a highly organized Foundation Program & Grants Associate to advance grantmaking, grants administration, and partnership work. You will support research, due diligence, and report tracking while drafting materials for VP review.

The role emphasizes strong follow-through, clear communication, and collaboration with grantees and internal teams, reporting to the VP and NYL Foundation leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with nonprofit experience.
• 4+ years of philanthropy, grantmaking, or grants experience.
• Excellent writing and analytical skills for senior leaders.
• Strong project management and coordination across teams.

Responsibilities

• Grantmaking and Grant Administration from research through approvals.
• Manage grants lifecycle: payments, reporting, renewals, closeout.
• Draft grant recommendations and briefs for VP review.
• Create core grant materials and maintain grant systems.
• Support grantee relationships with meetings and follow-ups.
• Assist with RFPs and Foundation initiatives.
