Job summary

The Salvation Army seeks a Director of Foundation Giving and Government Grants in Dallas, TX to lead foundation funding and government grant programs. This role directs staff, partners with program teams, and ensures donor engagement and accountability to meet fundraising goals.

You will mentor Grants staff, oversee proposal development, and collaborate with finance to track grant revenues and costs while expanding relationships with foundations and government entities aligned with our mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field.
• Seven years of successful foundation and fundraising experience.
• CFRE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs the selection, training and supervision of staff responsible for foundation giving and government grants.
• Administers, leads, plans, and supervises Foundation Giving and government grants to increase donor engagement and funding.
• Oversees proposal development, applications, and reporting to grantors; ensures compliance with grant requirements.
• Develops and implements strategies to engage foundations and government entities to maximize funding opportunities.
• Maintains donor management systems and stewardship activities to grow relationships and funding.
