Ball State University Foundation, based in Indiana, seeks a Foundation Fund Accountant to manage fund disbursements, perform financial reporting, and ensure donor intent compliance. You will apply accounting principles to support fiduciary responsibilities and fund administration.

The role emphasizes internal controls, coordination with the University Controller, and cross-department collaboration. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting and Excel proficiency are required;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting from an accredited institution.
• At least two years experience with accounting applications and related software.
• Not-for-profit knowledge and fund accounting experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; proficient with Microsoft Excel.

Responsabilités

• Administer fund disbursement withdrawal requests and review for accuracy and donor intent.
• Record transactions in the financial system and coordinate payment processing.
• Interpret fund agreements to ensure expenditures align with donor intent and restrictions.
• Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow projections for fund activity.
• Support administration of the foundation credit card program and policy compliance.
• Assist with unclaimed property processing and state reporting requirements.
• Support Form 1099 reporting for entities and ensure compliance.
• Assist annual external audits with documentation and readiness.
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and controls.
• Provide operational support with reports and communications for partners.
• Perform other related accounting and fund management duties.
