Job summary

Casper College Foundation is seeking an Accountant to support the fiscal operations of the Foundation, including payables, receivables, bank reconciliations, scholarship coding, investment allocations, and general ledger tracking. This role works with the CFO and Executive Director to develop budgets and ensure timely reporting for audits and Form 990 data preparation.

The Accountant compiles institutional and state reports, tax compliance data, and supports confidential handling of donor funds

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting, finance or business administration required.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience.
• Experience with full-cycle accounting for a financially complex organization.
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel).
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
• Strong analytical, mathematical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Process revenue, code expenses, and prepare journal entries.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly and assist in annual reports.
• Record investment earnings, tracking allocations, and posting GL adjustments across donor funds.
• Review revenue in GL for restrictions and fund alignment.
• Code AP/AR, monitor bank balances, and alert leadership to cash needs.
• Assist CFO in preparing annual budgets and audit materials.
