Qualifications

• 4-7 years of clerical experience in finance, fiscal or accounting.
• Experience with foundation accounting and/or fund reporting is a plus.
• Experience supporting month-end/quarter-end/year-end closes, audits, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepares financial reports for management, including restricted fund reporting and expense reporting.
• Reviews vendor payments and credit card transactions for compliance with policies.
• Maintains daily cash balances and records, and validates ledger entries for bank activity.
• Supports timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close and assists with audits.
• Maintains internal controls and security over financial information.
• Supports budgeting/forecasting activities and communicates requirements to staff.
• Oversees accounts payable processes and vendor invoice validation.
• Reconciles deposits, bank accounts, and subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger.
• Gathers documentation for capital expenditure requests and donor-funded activities.
• Serves as liaison with vendors, donors, and internal stakeholders and prepares required reports.
