Job summary

North Central Texas College (NCTC) is seeking an External Affairs Specialist - Foundation on the Gainesville campus. The role documents donations, processes accounts payable, and coordinates the Emergency Aid requests for students, balancing funds for reporting and audits.

The position requires an Associate's degree in accounting or related field and at least 2 years of accounting experience. Strong Excel, Blackbaud Raiser's Edge, and Financial Edge skills are essential.

Qualifications

Knowledge of database systems, data classification, information retrieval theories, and SQL processes.
Strong Excel skills; proficient in Word, Outlook, and Adobe Pro.
Familiarity with Accounting basics and tracking.
Strong organizational skills.
Experience with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge and Financial Edge systems.

Responsibilities

Process accounts receivable/payable: receipt and recording of incoming donations and scholarship funds; mail related correspondence/receipts.
Maintain documentation of processes balances for reporting, balancing, and audits.
Assure funds are entered into the correct account; perform monthly tracking and reporting to the fund manager.
End of year fund balancing; general ledger updates to system; security updates to accounts.
Create fund and GL records in system; data entry, classification, integrity, and organization for information retrieval; troubleshoot system processes and reports.
Assist with reconciliation of scholarship invoices; coordinate with Financial Aid to ensure accurate posting; coordinate Emergency Aid for students.
Prepare reports for executive leadership including summaries of donations and student emergency aid.
