Job summary

North Central Texas College IT Specialist - Administrative Computing is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting administrative computer systems. Primary duties include application development, database maintenance, and data integration across systems, with web development and user training as needed.

Responsibilities include CRM-SIS troubleshooting, scripting and report writing, and providing end-user support.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Information Technology or related field required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Two years of experience in application development, multi-server environments, database administration, or related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support for CRM users – troubleshooting discrepancies between CRM and SIS, task flows and automation.
  • Learn various applications systems to provide operating system and application system support for all college personnel.
  • Support integration of information processes between software systems.
  • Write scripts, queries, stored procedures and ad hoc reports.
  • Create faculty user accounts.
  • Assist end users (faculty, staff, and students) to resolve issues such as logins, passwords, email, and access to specific functionalities/applications.
  • Provide user training for operating system and application systems.
  • Provide documentation for NCTC specific procedures.
  • Test application systems and communicate with application support to resolve system issues.
  • Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change based on the needs of the department and institution.
