Job summary

The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking an Accountant to join the Advancement Financial Team, supporting the University of Nevada, Reno Foundation’s financial operations. This role performs professional accounting work across general ledger accounting, endowment and investment accounting, cash management, gift and pledge accounting, reconciliations and financial reporting.

The Accountant exercises independent judgement while ensuring compliance with GAAP, IRS requirements, and NSHE guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration and two (2) years of related work experience OR
• Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration and one (1) year of related work experience
• Related Experience: In accounting or related experience
