Job summary

Helen Woodward Animal Center is seeking a Foster Program Representative to oversee animals in the foster program and act as a liaison between foster families and the adoptions department. This full-time role requires coordinating with families via email, Facebook, and phone to place animals into quality foster homes.

You will train new volunteers on-site, maintain training materials, and ensure compliance with center policies while managing records and foster program supplies.

Qualifications

• Prior supervisory experience including responsibility for training staff and/or working with Volunteers
• Previous Customer Service skills
• Confident Public Speaking experience
• Four months prior animal handling experience preferred with basic understanding of animal husbandry & behaviors
• At least 21 years of age with a good driving record

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage animals in the foster program and liaise with foster families and adoptions staff.
• Coordinate with foster families via email, social media, and phone to provide high quality foster homes.
• Train new foster volunteers on-site and maintain training materials and center policies.
• Maintain compliance, professionalism, and recordkeeping for the foster program.
• Keep inventory of foster program supplies and assist outreach activities.
