Job summary

Animal Care Centers of NYC seeks a Foster Program Coordinator to manage day-to-day operations of the foster program in Manhattan. You will coordinate movement of animals in and out of foster homes and support a network of 800+ foster parents, helping facilitate adoptions for all animals in foster care.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least two years in a client-facing role, and strong computer literacy. Schedule is Tue–Sat, 9:30 AM–6 PM with Sun/Mon off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years work experience in a client facing position.
• Strong computer literacy required.
• Able to excel in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
• Treat animals and people with respect and humane handling techniques.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to foster volunteers to ensure needs are met, answer questions, and address medical concerns.
• Coordinate transportation of foster animals to volunteers, care centers, and adoption events.
• Coordinate with Veterinary Services to ensure vaccines and treatment plans are in place and schedule follow-up vet appointments.
