Job summary

The Humane Rescue Alliance (HRA) seeks a Foster Program Coordinator in Washington, DC to oversee day-to-day foster operations. You will recruit, train, and support foster caregivers, coordinate animal placements and transport, and maintain records using shelter software like PetPoint.

You will also help craft a biweekly newsletter, track foster metrics, and collaborate with veterinary, behavior, and adoption staff to ensure positive outcomes for foster animals.

Qualifications

  • Must have passion for animals and public service.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with volunteers, adopters, donors, and staff.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced shelter environment.
  • Technologically proficient; experience with shelter databases/CRM is a plus.

Responsibilities
